کودکان به مکمل های ویتامین نیاز دارند شیرخواران ، کودکان و نوجوانان باید از مکمل های ویتامین D بصورت قطره یا قرص برای سلامتی استخوان ها استفاده کنند .بویژه شیرخوارانی که از شیرمادر استفاده می کنند به دلیل کم بودن میزان ویتامین D در شیر مادر دچار اختلال رشد می شوند. این کودکان دچار کمبود طولانی مدت ویتامین D می باشند.
